In the third and final section, from Bar mountain hut head towards the summit of Monte Bar before reaching Motto della Croce, amongst the region’s most popular viewpoints and a coveted photo and selfie destination.
You’ll then descend towards Gola di Lago, an area renowned for its nationally important peat bogs and several military forts dating back to the Second World War; afterwards, cross Monte Bigorio and the tour comes to an end in the vicinity of the old Cappuccini convent, at Tesserete.
